Search by Keywords

Our simplified keyword search takes all search words on a single line and finds books matching all the keywords. We will "INTERSECT" together the set of all books matching any of the specified keywords ("AND" logic).

For example, to find books on TCP/IP for UNIX written in C++, you would specify

TCP/IP unix C++

in the blank. For more sophisticated searches, try our Advanced Keyword Search.

Advanced Search by Keywords

Each line of the search profile should contain synonyms for a single word (and not a phrase) -- we will "UNION" together the set of all books matching any of the specified keywords ("OR" logic). For example, to find books describing places to stay, you might specify

hotel motel inn lodging

on a single line.

Different lines of the search profile should contain conceptually different terms -- we will "INTERSECT" together the sets of books specified by each line ("AND" logic). For example, to find books on TCP/IP for UNIX written in C++, you would specify

TCP/IP
unix
C++

on three lines.

If you are looking for books on "how to survive outdoors" you would specify

survival survive
outdoors wild wilderness woods forest desert

on two lines. Note that each line has several synonyms for each significant word of your original search topic. Also note that the phrase "outdoor survival" is not input on a single line.

Search by ISBN
